Second Floor (Er Lou)

Founded in 2008, Second Floor (貳樓, or *Er Lou*) originally started—as the name suggests—on the second story of an old Taipei apartment. It’s since become a local legend for its all-day brunch. Their Taichung Showtime Wenxin branch is one of their newest spots (opened in 2024), and it’s a total stunner. The "Future Urban Forest" theme is inspired by the nearby Central Park and Wenxin Forest Park, using lush greenery, mirrors, and glass to create a space that feels both modern and incredibly relaxing. One of the coolest features is the lighting, which cycles every 30 minutes to simulate a full 24-hour day—taking you from a sun-drenched forest vibe to a sparkling cityscape. On the menu, you’ll find crowd-pleasers like their Smoked Salmon and Creamy Mushroom Eggs Benedict, buttery croissant sandwiches, pastas, and top-tier specialty coffee. The brunch sets come fully loaded with salad, fries, and a drink. You’ll find them on the 1st floor of the Showtime Live Wenxin mall, right next to Wenxin Forest Park.
